I upgrade from a D80, The D80 is a very good car and the D300 is a major release. What I want is the car that the D300 has the ability to shoot with bright colors, while maintaining a natural appearance. This leads to images look better than it looks in real life.
The exposure of the camera is excellent. Rarely under or over expose the image. The autofocus is fast and accurate. It is quality photos with ease. I sit nearly enough time to fix the image in Photoshop.
While the high ISO performance has significantly improved compared to the D80 mentioned above, the sound in May, occurring in low light and all ISO 1600 certified. Sometimes I shoot hockey and problems can find good plans if the lighting in the entire track with 2.8 70-200mm VR Zoom Open 2.8. This is the only place I have not had any problems. Otherwise, it’s all 10 of the board.
I were a man from Paris, I think that Nikon release an update directly from the D80 in the near future. If I wanted to 6 frames per second with the D300, you might be inclined to wait.
I am very happy with the D300 camera bodies and I will not get new short term. The areas that I can see a significant improvement in performance at high ISO sensitivity and wide angle photography. I am not in wide angle and ISO layer appears only in the most extreme conditions. The Nikon D3 full-frame is likely these shortcomings, it is $ 5000 and not worth the extra money.
